How to VIP someone on Twitch
It’s really important for streamers to have loyal viewers. There are a number of ways to reward loyal viewers, but one of them is the VIP role. If a streamer completes the “Build a Community” achievement by reaching 50 followers and 5 unique chatters, they can assign the VIP role to 10 of their loyal viewers. The more unique chatters a streamer has, the more VIP slots the streamer can give out. There is an award for good performance. Streamers are rewarded with VIP slots based on the number of unique chatters in their chat per five new chatters. For each 5 new chatters, they will earn 10 more VIP slots and then 10 more at 50 new chatters. At 200 unique chatters, they will receive 100 total VIP slots.

Being a VIP member on Twitch is the next best thing to being a celebrity. Giving VIP to viewers gives them special badges and chat features that allow them to chat in specific situations.
